Five intervals. One clear goal.
Set a target
Choose a whole-number target from 1 to 50 clicks per second. Every challenge lasts five seconds.
Complete five intervals
Your first click starts the clock and counts. Meet the target in each of the five one-second intervals.
Check your result
Review the passed intervals. Retry the same target, or choose a higher target after clearing all five.
Choose a comfortable target. Extra clicks in one second cannot make up for a missed interval.
What counts as a cleared challenge?
Reach your target in every one-second interval. Extra clicks in one interval never make up for a missed interval.
The timer uses a high-resolution browser clock. A click at or after the end time does not count. Mouse and trackpad results share one category because browsers cannot reliably tell them apart. Touchscreen tests accept one active finger at a time and are saved separately.
Only fully cleared challenges update Best cleared target, separately for mouse / trackpad and touchscreen. Ordinary CPS scores are not included.
Keep it comfortable. Take a break between rounds and stop if your hand feels tired.
A few things worth knowing.
How do I win a rhythm challenge?
Every one-second interval must meet your chosen target. At a target of 7, all five intervals need at least 7 valid clicks. The first click counts in the first interval.
Do rhythm results change my CPS record?
No. Rhythm challenges have their own recent history and never replace an ordinary CPS personal best.
How are interval boundaries measured?
Each click is assigned by its real timestamp. A click at 1,000 milliseconds belongs to the second interval. Clicks at or after 5,000 milliseconds are rejected.
Will a shared link open the same target?
Yes. A valid target parameter from 1 to 50 takes priority. Missing, repeated, decimal, or invalid targets fall back to 7 with a notice. The canonical page is always /rhythm-challenge.
