How it works

Three steps. One personal best.

01

Pick your pace

Choose a duration from 1 to 60 seconds. Use the same duration and input method when comparing results.

02

Click to begin

Your first click starts the timer and counts toward your score. Click with your primary mouse button, or tap with one finger.

03

Meet your next target

See your clicks per second, check your rhythm, and try for one more click than your personal best.

Keep your grip relaxed and start at a comfortable pace. Cancel at any time if you feel tired. A minute-long test is about sustained control, not an all-out opening burst.

What is a CPS test?

A CPS test measures clicks per second: the number of valid clicks you make divided by the selected test duration. It is a simple way to explore your clicking speed and track your own progress.

42 clicks ÷ 5 seconds = 8.40 CPS

The timer uses a high-resolution browser clock. A click at or after the end time does not count. Mouse and trackpad results share one category because browsers cannot reliably tell them apart. Touchscreen tests accept one active finger at a time and are saved separately.

Compare like with like: the same duration, input category, and counting rules. Scores are personal measurements, not verified competition results. Switching tabs or leaving the page cancels an active round.

Race your best replays the actual click times of a matching saved round. The opponent is fixed when your round starts. If an older record has no replay, a recent compatible round is clearly labelled Last round. Longer-test feedback compares the opening 60% of the round with the remaining 40%; it describes measured click differences only.

Keep it comfortable. Take a break between rounds and stop if your hand feels tired.

Frequently asked questions

A few things worth knowing.

How should I pace a one-minute test?

Start at a comfortable speed that you can maintain. Review your per-second chart afterward to see whether your pace stayed steady.

Can I pause the timer?

No. A completed test is one uninterrupted minute. Cancel a round if you need a break; cancelled rounds are not saved.

What happens if I switch tabs?

The active round is cancelled so a backgrounded page cannot produce a misleading result. Return and reset the test to start a fresh minute.
